Frequently Asked Questions

Do you charge for an estimate? Not usually. We try at first to gauge the project with an initial phone call, then make an appointment for a site visit.  As this estimate is generally free, I ask for you to be respectful of my time.

What areas do you serve?  Bison tries to stay close to home in the Snohomish County area. We have done work in Skagit, Island, and Whatcom Counties.  A phone conversation is the best way to determine if work can be done if you are outside of Snohomish County.

Do you do panel upgrades? No. This is not a service that Bison currently offers.

Do you dig ditches for power, patch drywall, paint? No. It is the homeowner’s responsibility to hire the necessary subcontractor or do this work themselves.

Do you install LED can/puck lights? We can install these lights. Unfortunately, sometimes their junction point is a little small to be used when converting from existing circuitry.  Also, as a one-man operation I am limited to where and when they can be installed in an efficient (cost effective) manner. It is best to install these when ceilings are open.

Do you accept credit cards or online payment methods? Most financial institutions charge for this service. In order to keep my overhead low, my accounting software is currently set up to for Bison to accept cash or check.  If pre-arranged I can set up an online payment, but unfortunately, I have to add a 3% (or current rate) processing fee.
